What is home automation? How do they work?

What’s the difference between a ‘smart’ home and one that isn’t? The answer might seem obvious, but it turns out not all houses can be considered smart. Homes with automation functions are said to have “Smart Home Automation” technology – this makes them operate without any physical impact from you!

Introduction to Smart Home Automation

When a home is automated, the devices operate on their own without human intervention. In essence, automation only occurs when all of these linked together in one platform or with an overseeing central device to control them all – like some sorta sci-fi guru!

Home automation can be done in two ways:

Schedules

The new smart devices allow users to set their own schedule for activities, which can be adjusted manually. For example if you turn on the coffee machine at 6am every day it will start brewing before your typical wake up time and keep going all morning long! You might also program certain actions based around sunset or sunrise so that when those come about they automatically execute whatever task needs attention then too-like turning off lights afterbedtime use only if there’s no one left inside shadows anymore (and safer).

Trigger

Trigger can be understood as the event that causes one device to trigger another. For example, when your temperature sensor rises above 30 degrees Celsius and an air conditioner is turned on because of this new development in technology called “triggers.”

It’s amazing how much information we collect about our environment without even realizing it!
